On May 2016 Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams had declared the
month of May – the Month of Annual Caucasus Heritage. The Annual Caucasus Heritage
Month celebrates and honors the rich cultural traditions brought to the UNITED STATES
from many countries.
Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams in cooperation with Brooklyn Baku
Friendship Association (BBFA) is presenting The Second Annual Festival of Caucasus
Heritage on May 21st, 2017 at 1pm at the Master Theater. We would like our traditions to
grow with more and more communities each year, and would be happy to be celebrating
this year’s Festival with you.
This festival is a celebration and demonstration of culture and artistic
performances to demonstrate the heritage of our communities. The Cultures of
Azerbaijan, Georgia, Dagestan, Ossetia and Karachay-Cherkessia will be presented by
the most famous dance and music groups in the USA (over 150 festival participants).
Last year, we successfully had the performances from 5 different community
groups from different cities with over 200 performers. We were successfully able to fill
the auditorium up to capacity. Our goal is to grow and continue this tradition.
Hope to see you all!

On our list of upcoming events, we have the annual Festival of Caucasus Heritage, held at Master Theater on Brighton Beach.
The “My Way” Caucasus Dance ensemble “Rhythms of Caucasus” is working every weekend in order to be ready for our performance on May 21st. Our dance group is honored to be in numerous dance numbers, so it’s very important for us to show off our best dancers and our newest ones as well. What’s exciting about this event is that all participants of our dance group will be up in front of a crowd that afternoon, and we will make sure that each dancer is more than ready to represent “My Way”.
All our kids are looking forward to dancing at Master Theater. Some of them are very familiar with the stage while others are just beginning to make their first steps as performers.
At “My Way” we count every one of our students as our own and help them grow as people. Working as a team and supporting one another is just one of the many things we stress in our dance ensemble. It takes a great deal of effort from our professional staff to make this festival a reality. Everyone on our team puts in countless amount of hours into this project and for the past two times hosting it, it has been a tremendous success. We invite all our parents and students to come and watch a wonderful performance by our dance ensemble. We look forward to seeing each and everyone of you come out and support us, as you have been doing for all these years.
